We had our gas service cut off in August because I fell behind in the bills.  I’ll need a $190 deposit to get the service back.  Maybe that wouldn’t be so bad except the microwave broke last year.  We’ve had to eat at McDonald’s most nights, and cold cereal for breakfast and sandwiches for lunch.

The question is, what will we do for Thanksgiving or Christmas?

Everything went to pieces when I lost my job in January.  I just started a new job last week, but was unemployed all those months.  That’s how I got behind in bills, earned bad credit, and had to do without some pretty basic stuff.  A car repair cost $450 – but try getting to work without a car. The gas bill just had to slide.

I really can’t see putting in $190 just to get the gas service back.  I saw a convection-microwave oven at WalMart over by the Falcon Airport for $198.  These run on electricity and you can cook turkeys and other foods in them like with a gas oven.

But I still needed about $200 for the microwave – where would it come from?  I went online and looked for “Christmas loans” and “fast cash” and “are car title loans available in Arizona?” when I stumbled on Car Title Loans in Mesa.  I found my Pontiac (paid for three years ago) could get me a loan for more than $400.  It was fast, easy and didn’t involve standing in line somewhere (online application, took 15 minutes). It wasn’t my mistake. I just have a conscience. I went to Walmart with a bunch of friends and we were just walking through the aisles, no big deal. Then Jason get pissed at Rob because Rob made fun of his mom. See Jason’s mom died of cancer. And well Rob didn’t actually know any of this. So Jason shoved the shit out of him into a shelf.

The shelf was stacked with those glass perfume things. It fell like a rock and every last one of them broke. Jason and Rob looked at each other and then took off running. I started walking away casually, the manager said “hey you there, stop right now and get back here… Shit. So now I have to pay.

I don’t know how to say this. Actually I do but you will never understand… If you’re a guy. But I found the perfect pair of shoes for me. I fell in love with them at first sight. I’ve never really believed in love at first sight until I saw those shoes. I know that I don’t love my husband anywhere near how much I loved those shoes.

So I went to my husband and told him to buy them for me. He told me no. Well I was pretty upset and I threatened to get a divorce but I didn’t really want to. I just needed my one true love on my feet. I didn’t have any money of my own at the time. And I don’t have any credit.
